JANUARY 2012 PRAYER AND PRAISES
Dear TMCI Family,
Ps 1:1-3 Oh, the joys of those who do not follow the advice of the wicked, or stand around with sinners, or join in with mockers. But they delight in the law of the Lord, meditating on it day and night. They are like trees planted along the riverbank, bearing fruit each season. Their leaves never wither, and they prosper in all they do. NLT
As I start a new year, I always have great expectations of what God is going to do in my life. I tend to get excited about all the things God is doing in the lives of TMCI ministries. I recently had the privilege of dedicating the building that God gave the Wynns for their ministry. Ginny and I have the privilege of traveling to meet TMCI people at the Connection receptions and hearing how God is moving in their ministries. It brings great joy to me to see God moving in TMCI ministries every day.
God brought Psalms 1 to my mind. We are joyful because we shun worldly advice and seek to abide in Christ (John 15:5). We do not associate with negative people who would pull down the Word of God or our ministry.
Our joy comes from the study of the word of God and applying it to our lives, families and ministries. As we go deeper into God and His Word, we will be like trees whose roots are deep and well watered, so that we can withstand the storms of life and bear fruit for the kingdom of God. This year I believe that we are going to see much much more fruit come forth in TMCI ministries: fruit from which the non-believers and believers alike will receive nourishment. Fruit that will bring life to all who will receive and eat of it.
Some godly people have predicted that this year will be a year of shaking. But the people of God who are firmly planted do not have to fear. On the contrary, as we stand firm, the fruit of the Spirit will drop from us to feed and encourage others. I believe there is going to be a great harvest of souls this year for those who are firmly planted in the Lord; who do not listen to the fear mongers, but listen to the Holy Spirit and meditate and abide in the word of God.
Those who do this will prosper in all they do (and that includes ministry).
Sinking my roots deeper in Christ and His Word,
Bishop Bob Coulter
