OCTOBER
2007 - ANNUAL CONFERENCE REPORT
Dear
TMCI Family,
Blessings to you in the Matchless Name of God our Father and His Son, Jesus
Christ our Lord! That Almighty Name (Exodus 3:14) holds absolute power and
perfect action ! What a privilege to know by faith the shelter and all
sufficiency in His Almighty Name!
This year's Annual Conference here in Columbia last month was entitled, "The
Power of His Promises". His great presence was welcomed with the shofar
ushering in sweet times of praise and worship. The anointing upon the preachers,
teachers, ministry, and fellowship was rich and powerful.
Bishop Bob Tolar began the first evening by reflecting on God’s promises
concerning the "last days". He brought the book of Joel to life reminding
us that the hardships and sorrows in our world today provide the dark backdrop
for the brilliant light of Christ in and through God's people. Though the world
wastes away, God’s people through faith and perseverance continually
become a source of refreshing to a dying world through the power of God. That "latter
rain" is a blessed hope and reality because of the faithfulness of the
One promised it!
Next, Bishop Bob Coulter reviewed highlights for the year including the addition
of many new ministries and increasing our overseas mission activities. Monthly
reports indicate that TMCI members ministered in over 30 countries in 2007.
In addition, God has tripled the number of TMCI missionaries living overseas
and video clips were presented to highlight some of them. Bishop Bob closed
his time with the deep conviction he's carried for months now. He shared that "drawing
close to God is much more important than staying busy for God". May
God give us the grace to follow that charge!
Many arrived weary from the battles being stretched to the limit from life's
pressures in finances, health issues, strained relationships, etc. Significant
breakthroughs were experienced by many as ministry flowed through our fellowship
together. Throughout the week, God's grace came mightily through "one
another" encounters. In between the scheduled sessions, there was
an eagerness to love and bless each other. Many left "The Power of the
Promises" renewed by God through the gift of the TMCI family of faith.
The Lord closed this year's conference by sending spiritual lightning (Zechariah
10:1) through Bishop Arthur Werts. We were divinely strengthened through his
preaching on 2 Kings 11:1-21 which powerfully illustrates Satan's determination
to destroy the "royal seed" in us. We're assured that God always
fulfills His Word regardless of how desperate the situation is. He can never
fail to live up to what He has promised. He protects and prospers that which
He has placed within us! Please pray that this lightening strike will give
the increase and bring you next year!
Patiently enduring to obtain the Promise! (Heb. 6:15)
In His Love, Brother Scott
