Praises & Prayers

Praises

Greetings from Uganda and another Publisher Document. Today as I prepared to start on the newsletter and opened up the app, a message came up that as of October 2026 Publisher will retired. They must’ve extended the deadline?! Hip hip hooray!! My goal will be to ease into the Scribus application slowly next year. I have a bit of time to still adjust, I know it will come fast!

First please pray for Aaron, above. Ivan and Evelyn have split and of course Aaron is part of the carnage that is left behind. We are not sure yet if it is Ivan’s child. Waiting for the DNA test. Ivan also struggles in so many ways so pray for them all, for we know that Ivan loves the Lord, and He can help Ivan walk in victory, regardless!!
We should see some activities on the Girls Dorm starting in the next week or so. The weather is better and Clare is free starting in the next week after the Presidents visit this weekend here in FP. My last discussions with her were that they would try to finish quickly likely before the end of 1st Q next year.
For those that have given to the end of year gardening project, thank you!! We will send some updates in early January. We don’t see into or get notifications from both giving systems immediately. We trust that we will be in great shape to help out in that effort. We are grateful and continue to trust Him knowing He affirms and confirms continuously.
In November Bill worked with International Development Institute (IDI). They have 2-more seminars in both December and in January. Hopefully some of the Ugandans are willing to invest in their learning and teaching beyond this.
IDI also serves the disability community here. Seems they are a large organization and work in different areas. They’re Christian yet do not openly state that and have a global presence from what Bill understands and they’re very strategic.

Above: Bill’s first group with IDI, the Korean NGO. Both George (just in front of the women in pink in the gold/blue) & Nicholas (far right) joined him. Moses, Bill’s contact is the tallest, even more so than Bill! I’m sure you can spot Bill.

More Praises & Challenges!

Teacher says my time is at hand

What can Matt 26 teach us about missions? In verse 18 Jesus tells his disciple to come and tell one man: “Teacher says…” They went and did as he pleased. Scriptures do not mention who that person was. There were several groups of people who were called the disciples of Jesus. By a definition, a disciple of Jesus is the one who follows Jesus and keeps his commandments. Not all disciples walked with Jesus during his lifetime. Some were afraid to do it because of their position in society. So, as we go on missions today, we must be aware that there may be some people around us who follow Jesus and keep his commandments, but do not do so publicly. That is especially true for the Muslim context. The biggest mistake is to think that God only works with people who can be seen.

“ESL” Students

We continued our meetings with our ESL students in Nov. One woman shared her deepest struggles with us. She was emotionally drained and in great pain. Lilia was able to talk to her about biblical principles. Pray for her and the other students, that each of them would seek the Lord. We praise the Lord for this great opportunity to spend fruitful time sharing the Gospel in a creative way.

Praise and Prayer Points

The Christmas holidays are a wonderful opportunity to bring people to special worship services. Most people become more receptive to spiritual things. Pray that this time will be fruitful for the harvest. Please continue to pray for our “For All” club. We plan to meet again in December. Pray that all members would come to know the Lord. Also, for our trip to Xinjiang, China. Pray that we will be able to encourage Jesus’ disciples there. We still need $500 to cover our travel expenses. Finally, pray for the leaders so that we can discern them and help them to reach their next level in their spiritual growth.

Friends and Family

Last week, each of us was sick on one day or another. We have high interaction with people so it is easy for us to contract an infection. Please pray for full recovery and stamina to keep the work going.
Thank you so much for your prayers and support!
