He goeth before you into Galilee
“I’ll see you in Galilee” -told Jesus to his disciples after his resurrection. He tells them he would meet them there. He has also started his ministry from Galilee. That signifies a transition from Jerusalem as an old religious center to the new worship based on a new covenant with God. That explains to us why missions exist – to bring people from worshiping their old religion and elements of this world to new worship in spirit and truth. Jesus said: “Go and teach panta ta ethne (all the nations).”
Blessing from Family Camp
Summer Family Camp was a blessing this year. We gathered with the saints by the fresh mountainous spring and had a truly blessed time. Every day we worshiped the Lord together in the morning and had some teaching in the evening. We’ve also had a few non-Christians with us. Pray that the word of God grows in their hearts. We know there are different types of soils. Pray that these souls be brought to God. Thank you, Grace and Northville BC, for helping us with the camp this year.
Praise and Prayer
We praised the Lord that we saw him working around us. Especially this month we saw a few instances where people were listening to a Christian radio or reading the New Testament. Pray for the renewed ESL classes so that we could get new students and preach the gospel to them in a creative way. We praise the Lord for existing students. Some of them we’ve known for a very long time. Pray for leaders, that we may find them and come alongside to equip them for more effective ministry.
Friends and Family
We are going to hire Tim’s music teacher to give him a few classes to learn some of the worship songs. Since she is a Muslim we don’t really know what her reaction would be in this. Please pray that everything goes smoothly. That they could learn a few Christian hymns. We want Tim to start playing worship songs at a service. Also pray that Christina would show Christ as she plays with her Muslim friends.
