Ufa Bible Ministries Update and Special Request from Stas Karpenko in Russia

Let every man take heed how he buildeth thereupon.

September brings harvest here. We reap what we have sown. That prompts us to reflect of how we sowed throughout the year. The same concept holds the passage where apostle Paul instructs us to evaluate our endeavors so that we may remain in good standing. Jesus taught that we need to abide on the vine to bear fourth fruit. We have to bring Him praises for every smallest fruit in our life. And we ought to evaluate things in our lives that need to be improved in order to bring Him more fruit. This is doubly important as we all are passing through this challenging time.

So, “Let every man take heed how he buildeth thereupon”.

ESL School and School Year

In Russia, September 1st is universal day for all educational institutions to start their school year. But not this time! Due to constantly changing measures in regard to the second wave, we, along with other small schools, had to postpone the beginning of our in-classroom classes.

Please pray for soon beginning of the school year. We do continue our classes online but obviously our opportunities to discuss things, drink tea together with our students, etc., are limited.

Could you also pray for children here in Ufa and their families who are quite anxious about their children and the going back to school season that is upon us? This is like no other fall and is made increasingly complex by virus and its impact on economy.

Harvest Festival, Workshop

Please pray for our special Harvest festival service which we plan to hold on the last Sunday in September. We know that these are challenging times so anything might happen. For this very reason we still have not decided when our next Workshop might be.

Family

Liliya’s father is in the same health condition. Continued prayers are needed.

Tim has started to learn Bashkir this year.

As we couldn’t minister in the US this summer, that puts the ministry on edge of significant financial need. Last month we could barely meet our budget’s ends to pay for our websites. But we know our God is faithful. So, if God is leading you for a special offering for this ministry that would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you for being a part of our collective prayer efforts. Corporate prayer of the saints that’s what moves the Kingdom’s boundaries here in B-stan.

September Report from Stephanie Baughman, Tasmania

Dear Brothers and Sisters,
Praise the Lord from Whom all blessings flow! That may seem strange to write in a pandemic in the middle of a week of isolation for me. It may seem strange to write when my travel ban exemption request was denied. Yet, through it all I am seeing God’s hand at work.
On the travel ban exemption, many of our prayers were answered, just not the big one right now. God has provided a place for me to live when I do return. It has a beautiful view as an added blessing although I’m just happy to have an address. He gave me an American economic stimulus check when I didn’t expect to get one having filed my taxes last year as a non-resident. This will help pay for the plane tickets home. He caused a Member of the Tasmanian Parliament to think so much of my service to the children that he wrote in support of my application. The application made it all the way to the Commissioner’s office because of that, but in the end, it was rejected saying “your circumstances do not outweigh the risk to the Australian people.”
So, what now? I settle in for a few more months of long-distance ministry, change roles to being more of a coach and encourager to those on the ground, and expand to local ministry in South Carolina.
On the Tasmanian front, we are preparing for LEGO Zoom Club this school holiday. God has provided the workers. I will actually only be doing the Bible lesson in club one day because others were willing. This does my heart good to see people stepping out in ministry. There are also older people who don’t feel comfortable on Zoom, but they will be mailing out prizes to the children who attend. The biggest prayer now is that God would bring the children to register for the club. Would you pray for 15 families to be reached with the Gospel?
Because of the Tasmanian COVID rules, each organization has to have a COVID Safe Plan that meets State Government guidelines. It is impossible to assure this is implemented and stuck to in the bounds of the law without me, the only paid staff, on the ground to begin in-person Good News Clubs. However, my former church has stepped up to allow Good News Club to operate under their umbrella so that the children can meet again! It is also not possible to meet in schools, so for School Term 4, we will be bringing 3 clubs together under one roof in the church fellowship hall. It will be a lot of work for the teachers with all of the cleaning procedures before and after each week. When I floated the idea out there to the teachers, many of the team jumped on board and were willing to do what it took to reach the children and be back together again. A couple are even willing to transport children who would normally have been at the Riverside Primary School club. We are praying for transportation for those at the St. Leonards Primary School club. I will continue to be involved with encouragement and guidance.
On the American front, I am looking forward to helping out once a week at Trinity Baptist Church in Cayce. I’ll be assisting the preschool staff’s own personal children with their online schooling. There are about 7 children ranging from kindergarten to 11th grade. It will be a challenge with so many different levels of work, but I am really looking forward to being with a classroom of children and young people in person again until I can return to Australia.
My other endeavour has to do with medically fragile children who can’t get out around others. My friends, who all the kids call Papa Henry and Ma Mary, and I will be starting a Zoom Kids Club for them. This is something I can identify with having to be in isolation so much myself. It has to be even harder for children. We will also be mailing out craft packets to the children so they will have a craft that goes with the lesson that week and some other goodies. Of course, when I return to Australia, the mailing will have to be done by Papa Henry. The good news is I will be able to teach the lessons on Peter that I have developed for our Good News Clubs in Tasmania next year. There will be some adaptations for these children’s special needs. If you know a child who is staying at home that could benefit from this, let me know.
Prayer Requests: ·

Praise God for answered prayer and for a way forward for Good News Clubs in Term 4. ·

Continue to pray for my return to Tasmania in God’s time. ·

Pray for God to bring 15 families to LEGO Zoom Club. ·

Pray for Sara and Ben who will also be teaching Bible lessons at the LEGO Zoom Club that God would bless our preparations. ·

Pray for the club in South Carolina for medically fragile children that God would show us where those children are. ·         P

ray that many would take advantage of that opportunity to learn more about the God who made them in His image. ·

Pray for all the technology to work both for the Zoom Club in Tasmania and the one in South Carolina. ·         P

ray for transportation so that the children at St. Leonards Primary School can attend Good News Club.

Together for the children,

Stephanie

BEAUTIFUL HARVEST

September 9, 2020

Psalm 126

As I write this update, I look outside and see freezing rain coming down.  Two days ago it was 96 degrees.  According to Masani Cece, the blooming Goldenrod tells us that Fall is imminent.  We hope that our Fall and Winter bring us moisture because it was a very dry summer here.  This is important because precipitation is so limited here the little we receive is vital to the livestock, crops and keeping down wildfires.

I posted a video to our Facebook page this month summarizing what we have been up to all summer.  I described most of this in last month’s update.  This month we received $5000 in PPE donations.  We have been in collaboration with the Utah Navajo COVID-19 Relief Fund.  We were able to provide 1152 bottles of hand sanitizer, 7500 gloves and 4000 face masks to Navajo families.  I would easily say we have reached over 8000 face masks since the beginning of the pandemic.  This means we have distributed face masks to 5% of the Navajo population!

When we first moved to the Rez we knew that we would have to homeschool based on the poor educational opportunities available.  Shortly after that we started a co-op of families.  At one point we were up to 6 families involved.  Ashli called the co-op Inspired Learners.  Over the course of 2019 we saw the commitment to collaborate and co-lead fade as some families only wanted to be served.  We saw others move from the Rez due to different opportunities or paths for their lives.  For 2020 we removed scholarships and continued the homeschool path alone.  But God.  August brought new questions, new followers and new interest into homeschooling.  Ashli has shifted from homeschool mom into homeschool coach.  We would love for you to follow this journey on Instagram.  Ashli’s account is raisingtalloaks.  Here you will find the efforts we are making to reach others, share our story and coach in providing Christian education to “small acorns.”  In August, we had a Navajo family reach out to us about homeschooling.  We started small by providing curriculum and coaching through phone calls.  This led to more interest and a commitment from the family so we opened up one more scholarship.  We contacted our resources and shared the story and received the curriculum and virtual learning package at ⅓ the usual rate.  This family identifies as “Traditional Navajo” in their religious beliefs.  They reached out to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in the recent past and were rejected.  We believe that through our existing relationship and homeschooling we will see a great redemption story for this family.

We started this ministry in 2017 with the vision of changing families and working from the bottom up within churches.  This vision has never wavered despite the changing world.  We have only changed the methods we use to reach the lost.

Beautiful Harvest Website and Blog

Sincerely,

Justin and Ashli Galloway

Team Seasoned Heart

Greetings from PA, USA. GOD graced me to travel 48 hours to my home. Officials more concerned that I passed though Germany than Africa.

Thank you for those who caught the vision of setting our students up in business to transfer wealth. There is a donate button for student endeavors. Wycliffe, our first business owner is opening his third branch.  Erick, launched his cybercafe(left). His desire is to reach the street kids. Any profit will go to that. He plans to do outreach at least weekly. Next student, Lotin, is teaching me Kiswhaili. I am paying for him to go to driving school. He also will be helping on the farming launched this month. We gained two new students whose education was interrupted by Covid. They are building a kitchen garden in the compound and a waist high table for laundry days. Save the backs of people!!

With the grandchildren and those who would join our walk to the school we would pray at the school gates for them to open up and let our children be educated. Several days before I left as we prayed a man was leaning on the wall watching us. When we explained what our prayers were about, he opened the gates and invited us to have the run of the place. A prophetic move and built the faith of the children. Before I left, I gifted three goats to orphans. When the schools open, they can pay fees from the offspring of these goats and get educated.

November, we want to do our international conference- 16-20. I plan to fly to USA in time for Labor Day. I plan to stay to vote and then return to resume our mission in Kenya. My first act when I return will be is to attend and bless a wedding union of two students who are from enemy tribes – Luo and Kikuyu. Our GOD is redeeming His people and the land.

Rungu Stick

Pastors who pray for Trump in Kenya had Maasai(warriors) fashion this weapon for Trump. They see him as a good strong leader. Intercession and fasting are lifted for our President Trump. They sent this to be placed in his hands. Pray for the path to open and watch what our GOD will do.

Please check out our website www.tshkenya.org or email us teamshministry@gmail.com. Pray. We have updates weekly. “Changing our World one life at a time”

August has been a long month for me. It has been six months since Imelda has left, and this month was hard for me. I was hoping with time the pain would subside a little, but it has not.

I am OK just please keep me in your prayers.

SCHOOL

Sam has started his new semester at Christ for the Nations in Dallas, and he is doing Good. We are still having problems enrolling Josh in school in Mexico. Everything is closed and we are having some trouble starting his enrollment. Yesterday we found someone who knows someone that will help us. Please pray God opens up the doors for us.

SPECIAL CONCERN

Things at the ranch have been slow, and between my headaches and the rain I have been unable to check our main water line. We have had to shut off water because the line has a major leak.  Hopefully I can check it next week and see if we need to replace the entire line. Please pray we can patch it.  Without water for the restrooms, we cannot hold services.

NEED A BETTER CHURCH LOCATION

Josh and I were able to move all of our stuff out of our old church building.  All the churches here are closed so at least we are not paying rent for something we are not using. As donations are down we are trying to cut our expenses as much as possible. We will continue to look for a better place and location for our church. Please pray for us as we search.

BIBLE STUDY

I continue to have a mid-week bible study at our house, and I continue to visit and counsel people. The virus has so many people here depressed and suffering financially.

EMERGENCY FOOD

We have been able to provide food and other items to people in need. I am sure we are all tired of the virus, but please continue to pray for Mexico as many here have lost everything. Here there is no government help for those in need, but there is a strong sense of community here where family and neighbors take care of each other.

Thank you for your continued support of our ministry. I am aware many are unable to give, but please keep us in your prayers and we will do the same.

September 2020 From the Rosendahls

GRACE CHRISTIAN OUTREACH MINISTRIES

Dear Friends,

All of us have been through various times of trial during these last five months due to the coronavirus epidemic. Some people’s trials have been harder and more difficult than others.

The good news is that God has promised us that His goodness and mercy will follow us all the days of our lives. No matter what you have gone through in the past, are going through in the present or will go through in the future, please know that God is desiring to show you His goodness and his mercy in your life.

God tells us that “He wants to give us the desires of our heart” and if we “Seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, all these things will be added to you”. As we seek God first in our lives, everything else necessary will be added into our life by the Lord. We serve a good God who wants to take care of His children and do good things for them as they put Him in first place and follow after Him!

Several years ago, a friend of the ministry who lived near New York City and who had faithfully provided GCOM with Spanish literature for several years called us and told us that his health had taken a turn for the worse. He told me that he wanted to give me the names and addresses of the ministry organizations that he received Gospel literature from so I would have them if anything happened to him. One of them was based out of Bemidji, Minnesota, about two hours from where one of my brothers live.

When we were in Minnesota, we gave the director, Phil, a call and decided to get together at his house. As we talked to him and his wife, we saw that our ministries had a lot in common and we had a very enjoyable time together.

As we were about to leave to our next destination, Phil told us that he had many boxes of literature, in different languages such as Romanian, Russian, Greek, Chinese, Cambodian, Vietnamese and also tracts in English focusing on reaching Native Americans across the United States, that he would like to give to us to distribute. He also had 24 boxes of tracts in Spanish that he gave us which we got out quickly. Getting the literature in other languages out was very slow due to lack of time when I am home from Mexico.

This extended time working from home has allowed me to get many of those things done and recently, we went online and found churches across the United States that had church services in these languages. We then mailed each church that wanted literature a large post office box of Gospel tracts in their language. These churches are using these Gospel tracts to share the plan of salvation with many hundreds of people in their native language. Please pray that many people come to Christ through the distribution of these Gospel tracts!

While I have been unable to go to Mexico, Sylvia and I have been able to get out many English New Testaments and Gospel tracts to the homeless at stoplights in Austin. Our End Times fliers and books of John continue to go out in the cities of Mexico City, Puebla and San Luis Potosi. Some of this literature also is transported by pastors to other parts of MexicoThe plan was for the semi- truck full of ministry supplies to head down to Mexico August 21s but unfortunately, the trucking company did not have a trailer available.

We are praying, waiting and believing God that, in His perfect timing, the trailer will be made available for the ministry supplies to be brought to the border. The printer in Omaha, Nebraska who provides our Gospel tracts, booklets, and books of John is unable to continue printing until their warehouse is emptied. This in turn limits the amount of literature we are able to distribute in Mexico. Please pray that the trailer will be available soon.

BIRTHDAY THANK YOU

Thanks to all of you who sent me birthday wishes in August! It was so nice to be remembered on my 50th birthday! Due to people’s generosity, we were able to purchase over thirteen hundred large-print Bibles for the spiritually hungry Mexican people and several pallets of beans to feed the physically hungry people. You are such a blessing to me and the people of Mexico.

THANK YOU

Thanks to all of you who have helped us during this month or two of finances being down. We could not do what God has planned for GCOM if it weren’t for each of you doing your part for God’s kingdom. We thank God and we thank those of you who were led to help out during this time.

May God bless all of you during this challenging time. We must keep our eyes on Jesus and He will bring us through it by His grace! We love and appreciate all of you!

Rev. Kevin, Sylvia and Joshua Rosendah
